My Idol : Salah ad-Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub

My idol : The powerful and generous leader of Egypt and Syria,
Sultan Salah-ad Din Ibn Ayyub

Every person in this world have their own idol, someone whom they appreciate, someone who became a role-model to them. So, am I. My idol is someone who was a great leader for his country and nation. Someone who did a tremendous achievement in our world and he is Salah ad-Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub or also called Saladin. Saladin was born in Tikrit , Mesopotamia. A born from a kurdish family. He's the first sultan of Egypt and Syria and the glorious founder of Ayyubid dynasty.

Saladin, the most famous military in islamic world. Around 12th of century he succeeded in uniting most of parts of middle east and Mesopotamia and in overtaking the Christian's crusaders through the combination of diplomacy and wars. During his youth's year, he pursuits tended more towards education in wars and military and towards the religious. Later, he follows his uncle's footsteps by making himself to be the commander in his nations. At the age of 31, he became the vizier and the commander of Egypt.

Step by step, Saladin and his followers bring the muslim territories of Syria, Egypt, northren mesopotamia and Palestine under one control. Around 1887, Holy wars were clashed against the empire of Europeans crusaders, who has conquered Jerusalem 88 years before. He succeeded conquering Palestine with less bloody and diplomacy. His great talents and vision was inspired by the light of holy jihad. It became the main root of his idea and his policy. he encourage the growth of Muslims religious institutions. he built islamic colleges and mosque to rebuild the regeneration of true servant of god.

He fought in many wars, bringing the saddle of wars everywhere to bring peace towards the world. He finally succeeded in conquering the half  known world spreading our religion towards the end of his journey. he never gives up. He tried and tried to recreate in his own realm to shape the world on how it suppose to be shaped  and he also succeeded in building his reputation as a generous and virtuous but firm leader in this world.

At last of his journey, the long endless hours of wars that brought on him finally comes to and end. He died peacefully as a great leader. One thing that touches my heart about him is during his death, his friends found out that  the most powerful and the most generous leader in the muslim world had not enough money for his grave because he gave his rich to everyone who needed them and he gave it for the sake of the islam institution.  Till now, Saladin became my idol not only because of his glorious leadership but because of his true heart as the servant of god.
