My Subjects for this Semester

Its nearly a year I been studying in this university, UiTM. This semester I'm continuing my study as part 3 in Mara University Technology, Johore. For this year, I have to take 8 subjects for this part. The following are the subjects that I'm taking for this semester. along with the course information and an additional infromation about the lecturers that teaching them too :

IMD 207 Communication Skills for Information Professionals II

My first subject is IMD 207, It stands for Communication Skills for Information Professionals. This semester I'm learning the next stage of the subjects which is the Communication Skills for Information Professionals II. For the information, this course is designed to provide student with skill in speaking. Student will be exposed and learnt various types of public speaking and techniques and methods to become an accomplished speaker. In fact, student will also learn how to prepare good speeches, collecting materials for the speeches and using visual aids to give more impact to the speeches. The lecturer that teaches this subject is Madam Noor faraliza Samsudin, a new lecturer that just arrived in the faculty, about this lecturer I don't quite know about her yet because she's still new to the faculty. For the course outcomes, the students will learn how to apply the principles of effective public speaking, how to acquire the skills of public speaking and prepare various types of speeches. In order to to score this subject I have to score 30% in tests, 25% in informative speech, 25% in persuasive speech and last 20% in group project. I wish, I will score an A for this subject for this semester.

BEL311 English for Academic Purposes: Preparatory Course for MUET

My second subject that I'm taking this semester is BEL311, stands for English for Academic Purposes: Preparatory Course for MUET. As information, this course is aimed at preparing students to meet the demands of their respective disciplines. This may be achieved by training students to employ the language skills and strategies that are necessary to carry our their academic tasks. Throughout this course, the student will learn on how to use appropriate texts and language skills and strategies to understand academic texts, learn how to writes a text of an academic nature, listen and take note accurately and last the students can learn how to communicate effective during group discussion. The lecturer that teaches me this subject is Mr. Mohd Izwan Bin Ismail. In my point of view, the way that he teaches us this subject is unique. For example, we learn how to pronounce words by singing , making our own blogs and posting our assessments through the blog without printing any copies of the assignments. He took seriously in teaching, that's the part that I find him interesting and unique. I'm lucky to have a lecturer like him. Obviously! I will make sure I score A for this subject

CTU264 "Pengurusan Ilmu Islam"

My third subject is CTU264 that stands for "Pengurusan Ilmu Islam". This subject teaches students on how every institution deliver and delegate knowledge by classifying them into a specific parts and elements. This subject also focused on the understanding of knowledge classification based from hadith and Quran. This course also teaches students about the understanding of the management in knowledge institution based on the model  of Ulum Al-Quran and Al-hadith. The lecturer of this subject is  Ustaz Saufi Bin Abdul Hamid, he's a lecturer who cracks jokes everytime during the learning session. He cracks jokes so that the whole class would understand and memorize the subject clearly. I would find him comfortable to communicate with.

IMD206 Instructional Media Applications

Next, another subject that I'm learning this semester is IMD206 Instructional Media Application. This course teaches us on how to develop our skill in delegating information and services. The objective of this course is to help the students to understand the concept and principles of educational and instructional technology. Second, this course helps students to understands the principles in developing educational materials. Lastly, this course helps us to produce a simple educational technology materials. In addition, this course emphasizes on the understanding of the educational and instructional technology principles. It explores the techniques and skills in producing, using and evaluating instructional media material for teaching. The lecturer for this subject is Madam Razifah. She's a kind of lecturer who has the motherly type of person. She understands her students and always try her best to give us the best. I hope I would score A for this subject.

IMD208 Introduction to Web Content

Next, IMD208 Introduction to Web Content. This subject is more on practical rather in basic educational learning. This course teaches us on how to develop our own web and area and how to design them using a specific tools and media. This subject is more on using the computer than writing on the paper. This course  helps students to understands the usage of HTML and JavaScript. The scoring method for this subject is 30% from the lab test,  30% from the group project and 40% from the final test. The lecturer that teaches this subject is Miss Siti Nuur-ila.  She taught us before, and amazingly she taught us for 3 semesters in a row! Sometimes she is strict in particular situation and sometimes she can be friendly towards her students. This subject is the subject that I love the most, because it's more on practical than the manual education learning.

IMD205 Multimedia for Information Presentation

Another subjects that I'm taking this year is IMD205 that stands for Multimedia for Information Presentation. This subject is focus more on multimedia itself. It teaches us the meaning of multimedia, the elements that related to it and the use and principles of multimedia too.This subject is also a practical subjects focusing and using more on computer than writing using hand. This course is a bit easy in my opinion. Because I found this subject is fun to learn. the interactive multimedia taught me  on how it works and plus it's fun to learn. The lecturer for this subject is Madam Nur Hidayah. 

IMD202 Promotion of Information Product and Services

Next, IMD202 Promotion of Information Product and Services. This subject teaches us on how to promote the product of our company and services. This subjects is one of the core subjects among of the subjects that I'm taking this semester. This subject is important to my course because it helps us to promote and to develop our skills and knowledge in promoting our materials. This subject can sometimes be hard to understands, because of all the theories and concepts that need to be remember. The lecturer for this subject is Miss Rabiatul Adawiyah, a friendly lecturer who loves to cracks jokes and having fun around while learning. In my point of view she's a "happy- go- lucky" type of lecturer because she treated us like we're the same level as her age. To me, I'd really love that I score an A for this subject.

HSM113 Taekwon-Do

Lastly,is the sports subject. This semester I'm involving my self in the taekwondo sports. I love challanging and hard sports as this sport because it teaches me how to be a man by learning the concept of obey the rules and act. I chose this subject because I want to continue my taekwon-do knowledge. Before this, I have learnt Taekwon-do back in my hometown by joining a n international taekwondo federation (ITF/WTF). The teacher for this subject is Master Rajendran. He's the master of the class, 1st dan in Black belt. In my opinion he's fun and a strict guy. He will be strict during the learning session and he can be fun outside from the session.
